Is there a published list of participants?

If the event is sold out,
can I be put on a wait list?
No. Once the event is sold out, we will not be taking any other entries
or have any wait lists.
Can I check in on Sunday?
Yes, but we strongly recommend that you pick up your packet on Saturday.
Sunday there will be long lines and waits, and the race will not start
late due to late check-ins.
Can my relay team mates pick up my packet for me, or can someone else pick up my packet for me?
No, all relay teams must pick up their packets together. All individuals must pick up their own packets and bring photo ID.
Can I sign up the day of the event?
No, the 2008 Event Registration is Sold Out. We hope to see you next year!.
Do I need to wear a wetsuit?
USAT rules stipulate that each age group participant shall be permitted to wear a wetsuit without penalty in any sanctioned event up to and including a water temperature of 78 degrees Fahrenheit. When the water temperature is greater than 78 degrees, but less than 84 degrees Fahrenheit, age group participants may wear a wetsuit at their own discretion, provided however that participants who wear a wetsuit within this temperature range shall not be eligible for prizes or awards. Age group participants shall not wear wetsuits in water temperatures equal to or greater than 84 degrees Fahrenheit.
Is the swim start a mass start or wave start?
The start of the race will be in waves. There will be 8 waves that leave approximately every 6 minutes from the beach.
Can I run with an MP3 Player?
No participant shall, at any time during the event use or wear a hard cast, headset, radio, personal audio device, orany other item deemed dangerous by the Head Referee. Any violation of this shall result in a variable time penalty.
What is the mountain bike division?
The mountain bike division is for those people who are racing using a
mountain bike instead of a road bike. The width of your tires must be 1.75 inches or larger. These tires can be smooth, knobby, or with tred.
Do you offer refunds?
No, there are no refunds or transfers offered
on the event registration.
Can I transfer my individual
race entry to another person?
No, individual registrations
MAY NOT be transferred from one person to another. Relay teams may
switch members and should contact mesp@mesp.com
to do so.
Where can I ship my bike to for the event ?
If you are looking to ship your bike to the Nautica South Beach Triathlon, Miami Bicycle Beach Center can help!. For more information, please contact the Miami Beach Bicycle Center at 305-531-4161. They are conveniently located just down the street from the race, so you don’t have to travel far the get your bike.

If you are going to have your bike sent to South Beach for the Nautica South Beach Triathlon, Bike Tech in Miami will reassemble your bike, take bike to the race, pick up bike from race, repack and sent out. Participants are also responsible for shipping charges and assembly charges. Please call Bike Tech for details at 305-261-1211

If you want your bike sent to and from the event contact The Triathlon Store. They will unpack your bike and give it a tune-up, They will take your bike to the race and you pick it up at their booth. After the race you leave your bike at our booth and the Triathlon Store will send it back to your home.
All for $80.00 plus UPS Shipping Cost to and from home.
The Triathlon Store will receive your bike until Friday April 11 at 12:00 noon. If they receive your bike before Friday April 11, you can come to the store and test it. Send your bike to: Swim Bike & Run
